Fresh from its first Digital Touchpoint meeting, Gore Mutual is calling for the insurance industry to join forces in order to improve overall customer experience.
The event was held May 8, at the Cookhouse Lab, an insurtech innovation hub. Discussions during the event focused on ways for brokers to succeed in the digital marketplace, as well as how the insurance industry can collaborate to address issues and move forward together.
Guest speakers at the event include Monitor Deloitte strategist Mukul Ahuja, Cookhouse Lab co-founder Sven Roehl, and Microsoft Bing director of corporate sales Maor Daniel.
Gore Mutual also shared information about its digital product roadmap and announced the launch of its new digital lab in fall 2018.
“This was the first of many Digital Touchpoints we’re planning to hold,” commented Gore Mutual chief marketing and distribution officer Paul Jackson. “We’re trying to get everyone to think differently about how we can work together in partnership. We can get much further much faster by working together with real collaboration.”
The Digital Touchpoint event also had breakout sessions, which allowed attendees to discuss among themselves about possible future digital products and point-of-sale opportunities.
"Gore Mutual is moving from a culture of cooperation where we just share ideas to true collaboration where we generate ideas together,” said Gore Mutual director of digital Sachin Rustagi.
Rustagi added that Gore Mutual is committed to creating and sustaining ongoing dialogues with brokers, insurtechs, and other insurers. To that end, the company has plans to regularly hold more Digital Touchpoint events to facilitate such interchanges.
