San Francisco-based cyber insurance managing general agent Resilience Insurance has taken a step towards its global expansion with the appointment of Miki Ho as head of underwriting for Canada.
According to Resilience, Ho’s appointment comes as the company is experiencing major growth in the US, and is poised to expand internationally – starting with Canada and Europe. Resilience also hopes to push the continued success of its “Insure + Secure” model, which provides a comprehensive cyber solution to mid-market enterprises.
As head of underwriting, Ho will lead the company’s business growth in Canada. He will report to Resilience SVP, North America head of underwriting strategy Kevin McGowan.
“Miki’s extensive commercial insurance and business development experience is well-regarded across the industry and will help us grow our presence in Canada,” commented McGowan.
Ho most recently served as the leader of cyber insurer Coalition’s business development team in Canada. He has a bachelor of commerce in finance degree from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
“Throughout my career, I’ve worked with broker partners to find creative cyber risk transfer and risk management solutions for large, complex clients,” said Ho. “I am very excited to join Resilience with the opportunity to build its Canadian footprint and bring solutions to mid-market companies with its unique Insure + Secure approach.”
