Toronto-based global cyber insurance specialist BOXX Insurance has announced the appointments of Eric Newman as chief operating officer and Steve Penney as chief technology officer.
In his new role, Newman (pictured above left) will support the development of BOXX’s strategic growth agenda, leading strategic planning, legal and compliance functions. He will be based in California. Prior to joining BOXX, Newman held leadership roles at companies including PayPal, Simility, RiskIQ, Pindrop, RSA Security and Silvertail Systems.

In his new role, Penney (pictured above right) will lead BOXX’s technology and data strategy. Penney joins BOXX from Deloitte, where he led digital technology, commerce and transformation initiatives for many leading organizations. Prior to that, he led the digital transformation team at TELUS Communications.
