PLATFORM Insurance Management Inc. has announced the addition of five professionals to its construction industry group in Western Canada, marking an expansion of its Edmonton-based team. According to a news release, the new hires are part of PLATFORM’s strategic move to establish an office in Edmonton, Alberta, which is set to open in the near future.

The newly appointed team members will focus on strengthening PLATFORM’s presence in the construction insurance and surety sectors. The professionals joining the Edmonton office include Kristyn Okell, director of surety; Shelby Clausing, account manager of surety; Paige Krieger, account manager of surety; Tayler Legerski, account manager of insurance; and Stacey Miller, account associate of surety.

Fraser de Walle, managing director of the construction industry group, highlighted the importance of these new hires: “These exceptional professionals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to PLATFORM, strengthening our ability to provide innovative solutions tailored to the unique challenges of the construction and development sectors.”

The opening of the Edmonton office is part of PLATFORM’s broader goal to expand geographically while maintaining its commitment to a client-first approach, the news release noted. The office will serve as a hub for supporting construction and development clients of all sizes, offering the same service and solutions.

The news release also noted that this expansion complements the company’s existing team in Calgary, enhancing PLATFORM’s ability to deliver specialized services throughout Western Canada. PLATFORM’s Calgary office opened in July, with de Walle overseeing its operations as managing director.

PLATFORM is a privately held, employee-owned Canadian brokerage specializing in insurance, surety, and sub-default insurance for the built environment.
