Westmount Guarantee Services – a Navacord group of companies member – has expanded into the Western Canada region with the opening of a new managing general agent (MGA).
The new Westmount West Services in Vancouver, BC will provide developer surety solutions and condominium deposit insurance. It will be led by Tom Reeves, who serves as president of the business. Both he and his team will be serving local clients with underwriting authority and capacity.
“Our focus remains on meeting the specialized needs of clients, especially as projects in the west become larger and pre-sale deposits grow in significance,” said Reeves in a statement, adding that his team’s knowledge and experience – combined with their local binding authority – allows them to make timely decisions and respond immediately to clients.
“As the dominant provider of Tarion bonds and condominium deposit insurance for residential projects across Ontario, we are pleased to be the only company with national capabilities that is dedicated solely to this niche business,” remarked Westmount Guarantee CEO Jim Emanoilidis.
Navacord executive chairman T. Marshall Sadd commented that the group of companies is pleased that clients in Western Canada will now be able to access deposit insurance from an expert like Westmount West.
