As it looks to push forward in what it seen as a key growth area, D L Dale & Others, Syndicate 2525, has announced the arrival of a new head of international casualty.
Charles Harcus (pictured), has taken the role at the specialist employers’ and third party liability Lloyd’s insurer. The company, which focuses on all aspects of liability business and in 2014 established a primary international liability account to primarily underwrite SME business, construction risks and larger corporate accounts across Australia, Canada and South Africa, believes Harcus will help strengthen its capabilities.
“We are delighted to welcome Charles to the team,” said Tony Ive, active underwriter. “His knowledge and specialist expertise will significantly enhance our underwriting proposition and claims offering to brokers and policyholders around the world.”
Harcus joins the firm after spending time at Apollo Syndicate, where he had been head of international casualty since 2014.
