NFP has revealed that it has appointed Imran Pira as a senior vice president, management and professional lines – a role that will see him join the broker’s newly formed complex risks solutions (CRS) group in Canada.
As SVP, Pira will help drive growth in the recently formed CRS group. He will report to NFP managing director of commercial insurance, Mandeep Singh.
Pira has more than 15 years of industry experience, with a primary focus on risk management; he has a background in underwriting, client advisory and broking, as well as portfolio management. Within executive risk, his expertise includes directors and officers liability, and ancillary corporate protection products such as fidelity, pension trustee, and cyber liability.
“NFP is investing strategically in its specialty business across industries, products and programs,” said NFP executive vice president and P&C division head Henry Lombardi. “This makes NFP an attractive destination for talented professionals like Imran who understand what clients need in an increasingly dynamic environment.”
“I’m excited to join NFP and be part of an organization truly committed to growing its specialty business,” commented Pira, adding that he looks forward to sharing his expertise, learning from his colleagues, and collaborating with the team to deliver “exceptional solutions and services.”
Last month, NFP made a couple of appointments in the Canadian CRS group, naming Evan Garner and Joe Seeger as managing directors for the unit.
