McLarens, an independent global insurance services provider, has today announced the acquisition of MGB Claims Consultants Inc. (MGB Claims), a complex commercial claims adjusting firm in Canada. The deal supports McLarens’ ambitious growth strategy and market expansion in North America.
Toronto-based MGB Claims serves local and multinational clients on large and complex claims in Canada and the United States. Its core areas of focus include: property & casualty, professional and commercial general liability, cyber, medical liability, energy & natural resources, environmental, and film & entertainment.
The firm has a team of more than 25 experienced adjusters and support personnel, located in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver, who are able to provide proactive claims handling, detailed coverage analysis and subrogation services backed by local market expertise.
MGB Claims also has a third-party administrative group, set up in 2014 after client demand, which continues to grow both domestically and in the London Market.

Effective immediately, MGB Claims will become part of McLarens North America claims and loss adjusting division, which is led by Steve Whitmarsh, chief operating officer (North America). During integration, loss adjusting services will continue to be delivered under the MGB brand.
