Charles Taylor has named Robert Paxton (pictured) as managing director of its Canadian operations, effective October 1. Paxton will be leading the business across Canada, in addition to his existing role as global head of strategy and business development.

The internal hire brings a wealth of experience to the role, having held various senior leadership positions within Charles Taylor. His deep knowledge of insurance adjusting in both Canadian and international markets has positioned him well.

Before joining Charles Taylor in 2017, Paxton worked at McCarthy Tétrault and had also served as a management consultant, advising global organizations on corporate strategy, operational improvement, and innovation.

Christopher Schaffer, chief executive of Americas claims solutions at Charles Taylor, noted: “Robert possesses the expertise, experience, and relationships that will help us strengthen our presence in Canada.

“He has a proven track record of driving positive outcomes at Charles Taylor, and we are confident in his ability to replicate this success in his new role. We look forward to seeing all he will accomplish for our clients in Canada.”

Paxton, meanwhile, said he is honoured to lead “such a talented team” in his new capacity as Canadian MD.

“As the insurance industry continues to evolve, our focus will remain on innovation, operational excellence, and delivering value to our clients and partners,” he said. “I look forward to working with our team to serve clients, expanding our capabilities, and enhancing our service offerings across Canada.

“Together, we will continue to drive forward-thinking solutions that meet the ever-changing needs of the market.”
