ZipSure Insurance Brokers Ltd., a part of Westland Insurance Group, has embarked on the next phase of its national expansion with the acquisition of two Ontario-based digital insurance brokerage operations.
On January 01, 2021, the 100% online insurance provider joined forces with Insurego Insurance Brokers Inc. Through this deal, ZipSure has acquired Insurego’s personal lines business, leaving Insurego to concentrate on technology and the development of its online insurance marketplace for comparison shoppers.
Insurego CEO, Morgan Girouard, commented: “This new partnership aligns key strategies to provide a superior client experience for consumers.”
Effective February 01, 2021, ZipSure will own the personal lines business of Optima Insurance Group. Similar to Insurego, Optima’s future will revolve around its core technology and communications business.
“We’re confident this arrangement will significantly benefit our home and auto client base with expanded offerings and enhanced service options,” said Optima CEO Don MacLeod.
The brokers and customers of both Insurego and Optima will be incorporated into ZipSure’s digital insurance brokerage business effective immediately.
