Wynward Insurance Group, a subsidiary of James Richardson & Sons, Limited (JRSL), has selected Ken Bolt as its new president.
Bolt’s appointment will take effect on December 1. He is set to assume the role following the retirement of Darryl Levy, who has served as president and CEO of Wynward Insurance Group for the past 13 years.
Wynward Insurance Group chairman Gregg Hanson spoke on behalf of the board of directors and expressed enthusiasm for Bolt’s new role.
“Ken has a wealth of experience and a distinguished career in the insurance industry, and we are confident his expertise, innovative thinking, and commitment to our core values make him the perfect candidate to lead Wynward into its next phase of success,” Hanson said.
Hartley Richardson, executive chair, president, and CEO of JRSL, commented on the appointment and thanked Levy for his contribution to Wynward.
“Darryl has demonstrated vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence, which has been instrumental in shaping Wynward’s success, and we wish him a happy and fulfilling retirement,” Richardson said.
Bolt serves as Wynward’s vice president of regional operations, distribution & analytics. He joined the company in 2012 after a three-year stint at Wawanesa Insurance. His experience also includes time spent at Aviva Canada.
Wynward Insurance Group is a commercial property & casualty insurer that operates in all provinces and territories. Earlier this year, it renewed its support for the Broker Identity Program, run by the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC).
