Vancouver-based insurance brokerage Wylie-Crump Limited appointed Nolan Heuchert (pictured above) as president and chief executive officer.

The leadership change follows a period of growth for the firm as it continues to expand within the insurance industry while maintaining its focus on client service and risk management solutions.

Heuchert has been with the company for more than 15 years and has helped shape the firm’s direction. With three decades of experience in risk management, he has been involved in advancing strategic initiatives and fostering a collaborative work environment.

His appointment follows the promotion of Darlene Stevenson to chief operating officer in 2023, which was then a newly created role aimed at supporting the company’s long-term strategic growth and operations.

Heuchert and Stevenson, along with the company’s partners and leadership team, will oversee the firm’s next phase of development, with a focus on technology and client solutions.

“This is an exciting time for Wylie-Crump,” said Stevenson. “Nolan’s vision for the future reflects the values and ambitions of our entire team. Together, we’re focused on building on our successes, empowering our people, and embracing new opportunities to drive meaningful growth for the company.”

Wylie-Crump provides insurance and risk management solutions for Canada’s construction, development, real estate, and commercial marine sectors. The firm remains focused on adapting to the evolving landscape of risk and surety services.

In 2023, the company also announced the appointments of Adam Parry-Wingfield as director of its marine specialty group and Sandy Roberts as senior associate with the marine specialty group.

Parry-Wingfield then has more than 30 years of experience in the marine industry while Roberts joined the company from a large global broker, where she was an account executive in the marine specialty group.
