Westland Insurance Group Ltd. has introduced Globalex Assurances, a brand to serve the company’s Quebec-based clientele.
According to a company statement, the launch is part of the company’s efforts to recognize the culture of the province and address specific expectations from its clients there.
Westland entered the Quebec market in early 2021 and has since welcomed several brokerages to the group, including Axxium Assurance, Assurances R. Legault, and Niche Assurance, all of which will now operate under the Globalex Assurances banner. The Globalex brand was described as representing professionalism, expertise, and a commitment to meeting both local and global insurance needs.
The company also outlined its intent to expand its footprint in the area through both acquisitions and organic strategies.
Jamie Lyons, president and CEO of Westland Insurance, expressed enthusiasm about the launch.
“We’re excited to introduce the Globalex Assurances brand to Quebec,” he said. “This rebrand reflects our dedication to providing exceptional insurance services to our clients in the province. With our expanded presence and resources, we’re confident in our ability to deliver tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of Quebec residents and businesses.”
Meanwhile, Robert Beauchamp, vice president of Quebec operations at Westland, outlined the company’s forward-looking strategy.
“Now that we’ve launched Globalex, we plan to expand our Quebec operations to serve more clients across the province,” said Beauchamp. “By rebranding our Quebec operations, we’re better positioned to grow both organically and by acquisition. This new brand certainly represents new and interesting alternatives to the available options currently in Quebec.”
In alignment with the rebranding initiative, the group also announced Westland MyGroup will undergo a name change to Westland MonGroupe in Quebec. The company said this reinforces its dedication to maintaining a strong, locally relevant presence while benefiting from the expansive network and global resources of Westland Insurance.
The group noted Globalex Assurances is committed to a smooth transition for existing clients of Axxium Assurance, Assurances R. Legault, and Niche Assurance.
