Westland Insurance Group has closed its three newest acquisitions – Hillcrest Insurance in Alberta, Pinks & Plates Insurance, also in Alberta, and Moon Insurance, in Saskatchewan.
All acquisitions are effective May 01, 2021.
The three acquisitions add seven new branch locations in the Prairies region for Westland, supporting the broker’s expansion strategy.
With a main office in Strathmore, Alberta, and a satellite office in Rockyford, Hillcrest Insurance’s nine employees join the Westland Insurance family.
Pinks & Plates Insurance in Chestermere, Alberta, brings seven employees to the Westland team.
Serving the Saskatoon, Radisson, Colonsay, and Vanscoy areas, meanwhile, Moon Insurance operates through brands such as Radmont, Chaben McPherson, Wright, and Mooney Agencies. Its 11 employees join Westland.
All three companies offer homeowners’, auto, travel, farm, and commercial insurance services.
In total, Westland Insurance is adding 27 employees across Alberta and Saskatchewan. The broker now has 170 locations across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia.
Westland’s most recent acquisition was just last month, when it snapped up Edmonton-based MBS Insurance Brokers. MBS has a national network of 160 locations and 1,700 employees, and has been in business for over 50 years.
