Western Financial Group has introduced Haven Municipal Insurance, a new insurance solution designed for municipalities across Canada. 

Haven Municipal Insurance offers 24/7 claims handling, risk management support, core coverage options, environmental impairment liability, cybersecurity, and equipment protection, and community support.  

The company’s municipal specialists provide guidance to help municipalities develop long-term risk management strategies. In addition, Western Financial Group offers Haven Employee Benefits, a group benefits plan tailored for municipal employees. 

With more than 45 years of experience in municipal insurance, Western Financial Group aims to provide coverage and support to municipalities. 

“We understand the unique challenges faced by municipalities like aging infrastructure, complex regulations, and the rising threat of cyberattacks,” said Drew Woytko, director, business development at Western Financial Group. “We want to make sure our customers feel protected while making the insurance process as easy and convenient as possible.” 

Branch reopening in January 

In January, Western Financial announced the reopening of its redesigned Dawson Creek branch in northeastern British Columbia, as part of its strategy to enhance service accessibility across multiple channels, including online, phone and in-person interactions. 

Grant Ostir, chief executive officer of Western Financial Group, emphasized the company’s commitment to growth while maintaining customer-focused service.
