There are busy times for Western Financial Group, whose parent Trimont Financial is owned by Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company.
Having named a new CEO just last month – with Grant Ostir set to move into the role in January – it has now announced a new branch opening, set to take place on August 26.
The branch is located in Cold Lake, Alberta, and, according to the firm, will offer “high level” insurance expertise. The opening is set to include a BBQ fundraiser, meant to support the Lakeland Humane Society, as well as a complimentary “mocktail” station that will support the Lakeland Centre for FASD. It was noted that there will be several high-profile attendees, including company heads and local government officials.
“Opening another new branch is always a reason for celebration, and we’re pleased to serve the people and their community in Cold Lake,” said Kenny Nicholls, Western Financial Group president and CEO – he will be replaced by Ostir at the start of next year. “We’re a people-first company and want to be there to serve our customers in the way that suits them best. Whether online, by phone or in-person, we will be there whenever we’re needed.”
The branch can be found at #1501, 6603 51 Street and is set to operate from 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
Both Nicholls and Ostir will be in attendance at the event.
The branch opening also comes as the group inches closer to the end of its summer giveaway, first announced in June. Set to conclude on August 30, it aims to make insurance “more approachable” and features a grand prize of $10k in gift cards. Those interested in taking part can explore a variety of insurance products – home, seasonal home, condo, renters, recreational vehicle, boat, all-terrain vehicle (ATV), travel, etc. – and by getting a new quote stand a chance to win a prize.
