Waterloo has announced this year’s Top Employers for 2019, naming four insurance companies and one claims adjusting firm as part of the list.
The five insurance-related companies that made Waterloo’s Top Employers list are Allianz Global Assistance Canada (travel and specialized insurance), Crawford & Company (claims adjusting), Equitable Life Insurance Company of Canada (insurance and financial services), Gore Mutual Insurance Company (direct P&C insurance carriers), and Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (insurance).
“Throughout our company’s nearly 180-year history, we’ve had very strong ties to our local community which is why it’s always a huge honour to be included as a Top Employer in the Waterloo Area,” commented Gore Mutual vice-president of human resources Catherine Leclair. “Insurance is an exciting and dynamic place to work because of the many changes taking place in our industry. Everyone here plays a role in making our company a leading place to work and it’s our employees’ talent, passion and innovative ideas that help us continue to succeed and grow.”
This year marks Gore Mutual’s 10th straight year being recognized as a top employer in Waterloo.
The Top Employers contest – now in its 12th year in Waterloo – is organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers.
