Vive Crop Protection announced two leadership appointments as part of its growth strategy. Dave Rummel has been named chief commercial officer, while Jeff Lacrooy has been promoted to senior vice president of finance.

Rummel, who has more than 20 years of experience in the crop protection industry, will oversee Vive Crop’s commercial operations, including sales, business development, strategic sourcing, portfolio management and marketing.

The move was made as the company aims to streamline decision-making and enhance commercial initiatives by consolidating these functions under one leader.

“Dave has been a pivotal member of the Vive leadership team and I am confident that his expertise and strategic vision will drive even greater contributions in his new role as CCO,” said Darren Anderson, CEO of Vive Crop Protection.

Lacrooy, who has more than 20 years of experience in finance, operations, and accounting, has played a role in strengthening Vive’s financial and operational processes.

“These strategic promotions will accelerate our ability to deliver cutting-edge solutions, foster stronger partnerships within the industry, and ensure Vive’s continued success for growers,” Anderson said.

Earlier this year, the company added four new members to its commercial team. Art Graves will join as Northeast technical sales agronomist; Darren Bodine as Midwest territory sales manager; John Rouse as mid-Atlantic territory sales manager, and Mark Reinert as Southern Plains territory sales manager.

Last year, the company hired Lana Green as national account manager and Steve Eskelsen as Northern technical sales agronomist.

Green manages Vive Crop’s distribution efforts across the US, focusing on developing strategic distribution frameworks and large account management plans.

Eskelsen supervises the agronomic recommendations and technical support segment, working closely with growers, retailers and influences in the northern US.
