Unica Insurance is the latest Canadian insurer to reaffirm its support for the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) and its Broker Identity Program (BIP).
The BIP is a national advertising campaign which aims to spread awareness among customers of the value that brokers offer when it comes to helping them choose coverage, providing sound insurance advice, and advocating on their behalf. Unica Insurance has maintained its support for the campaign at the Full Partner level.
Unica’s Full Partner investment extends to IBAC’s other initiatives, including the broker association’s technology leadership, professional development of the broker workforce, and its federal advocacy to keep the banking and insurance industries separate.
“Unica is proud to continue its partnership with IBAC in support of the important work they do through the Broker Identity Program. Unica strongly believes in the value of the broker and the expertise, advocacy and in-depth product knowledge they provide to our target customer,” said Unica senior VP of operations Jennifer Ronca.
“Unica is a valued IBAC partner that is fully committed to conducting business exclusively through the broker channel,” commented IBAC CEO Peter Braid. “We greatly appreciate their renewed investment, which reaffirms and underscores the significant value that brokers bring to the insurance experience.”
When Unica renewed its support for IBAC’s BIP last year, COO Dave Smiley explained that given Unica’s focus on specific commercial segments and high net worth personal insurance, it has to “rely on the strength of the broker channel.”
