TD Bank Group has announced changes to its senior executive team, including the appointment of Tim Wiggan (pictured above) as group head of wealth management and insurance.
Wiggan has spent over 25 years at TD, progressively advancing through various senior positions. He most recently served as vice chair of TD Securities (TDS) and co-head of global investment banking.
He was also CEO of TD Asset Management from 2013 to late 2016. His other former roles include co-head of global markets and head of equities and commodities at TDS.
Group president and CEO Bharat Masrani commented on Wiggan’s appointment, praising him for his work growing TD’s wealth and capital market businesses and developing “long-term trusted relationships” with clients.
“He will continue to leverage OneTD, expand our Canadian, US and international wealth business, and deliver the next phase of growth in wealth management and insurance,” said Masrani.
In addition to Wiggan’s new role, TD also announced the appointment of Ray Chun as group head of Canadian personal banking.
Chun will be replacing Michael Rhodes, who is departing TD to pursue a new opportunity outside the organization.
Prior to his new appointment, Chun was group head for wealth management and insurance. He initially joined TD in 1992 and has since taken on various leadership roles across personal banking, branch banking, TD Waterhouse Private Client Group, TD Direct Channels Sales, and customer experience & operations. He also served as president of TD Insurance from 2019 to 2021.
“Ray is a proven leader with a strong track record of building successful businesses, delivering innovative solutions and developing talent,” said Masrani.
“He brings a deep understanding of the market and a relentless focus on the customer to his new role.”
