TD Bank Group has announced changes to its senior executive team, with Vladimir Shpilsky (pictured right) being appointed to lead the platforms and technology division, effective immediately.
Shpilsky will report to Raymond Chun, who is set to become the group president and chief executive officer of TD Bank Group. He will also join the bank’s senior executive team.
Shpilsky joined TD in the fall as executive vice president and US chief information officer. Before this, he held a leadership position at one of the world's largest banks overseeing technology strategy and delivery across various banking sectors, including corporate and investment banking, global payments, and enterprise credit.
His extensive experience in leading technology organizations and driving innovation will be leveraged as he leads TD’s technology initiatives. He will continue to serve as US CIO until a successor is named.
Ray Chun, in his statement, praised Shpilsky’s global leadership. "Vlad is a global technology leader with the expertise needed to further enhance our capabilities as we build the Bank for the future," he said.
Chun also expressed confidence in Shpilsky’s ability to extend TD’s innovation leadership and improve customer experience, operations, and infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Greg Keeley, who has been with TD since 2018, is leaving the bank to pursue an outside opportunity. During his tenure, Keeley contributed significantly to TD's technology and digital capabilities and helped enhance the security and stability of the Bank's platforms.
Chun thanked Keeley for his leadership and contributions, wishing him success in his future endeavours.
These leadership changes are part of TD Bank’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its technology infrastructure and prepare for the future.
