Sun Life Financial Inc. and Tribal Wi-Chi-Way-Win Capital Corporation (TWCC) have unveiled a new partnership aimed at fostering economic growth and job creation in Winnipeg.

The collaboration will expand TWCC’s Contact Centre operations to support the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), benefiting Canadians nationwide while advancing Indigenous employment.

The partnership is expected to result in the doubling of TWCC’s Contact Centre capacity, with at least 33% of the workforce identifying as Indigenous. TWCC, a 100% Indigenous-owned organization, provides business services and customer care solutions across Canada.

The formal announcement of the partnership will take place on Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, at the Inn at the Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Speakers at the event will include Alan Park, chief executive officer of TWCC; Marie-Chantal Côté, senior vice-president of group benefits at Sun Life; acting grand chief Betsy Kennedy of the War Lake/Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs (AMC); chief Cornell McLean, TWCC Chairman and representative of the Interlake Reserve Tribal Council; and national chief Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak.
