To help those trying to cope with the mental distress brought about by the COVID-19 infection, SSQ Insurance is offering free access to a telephone counselling service.
A release said that the crisis intervention assistance service will be offered on a temporary basis; it will be delivered by Optima Global Health’s specialists, who are professionals in psychological health.
All SSQ Insurance customers are welcome to use the new service, regardless of the type of product they hold – group insurance, individual insurance, auto insurance, home insurance or investment products.
“We are all affected, each of us in our own way, by the pandemic. That can mean anxiety, feeling discouraged or having to deal with acute stress. In an effort to help our customers cope through these difficult times, we are offering them a support service,” said SSQ Insurance CEO Jean-François Chalifoux.
The chief executive remarked that offering psychological assistance to SSQ Insurance’s customers is part of the company’s community effort, adding that it is a way to give back to the communities that have made the company what it is today.
