SSQ Insurance has announced that it is serving as title sponsor of the Marathon SSQ Assurance de Longueuil for the fourth consecutive year.
The insurer has renewed its commitment to the marathon event until 2023. By renewing sponsorship, the insurer is reaffirming its intention to be involved in the community of Longueuil, as well as its support for healthy and active lifestyles, a release said.
This year’s Marathon SSQ Assurance de Longueuil was held over the weekend, May 18 and 19.
“Health and wellness have been of great interest to SSQ Insurance, given that these were the motivating factors for its foundation,” said SSQ Insurance CEO Jean-François Chalifoux in a statement. “This partnership enables us to promote healthy lifestyle choices while participating in the vitality and spirit of the city.”
Chalifoux also added that SSQ Insurance is pleased to extend its partnership with event organizer Courses Thématiques and the city of Longueuil.
Earlier this month, SSQ Insurance revealed its plans to convert a portion of the roof of its Quebec office into an urban garden. The garden will be used sustainably to grow fruits, vegetables and herbs, with the harvested produce to be donated to a local community organization.
