SSQ Insurance has named François Joseph Poirier to the role of vice president of business development and partner experience, effective September 05, 2019.
Poirier will be based in Toronto as part of his new role, where he had spent most of his professional career in. On top of leading SSQ Insurance’s national growth strategy, Poirier will also help support the sales vice presidents of all of the company’s business lines, by offering them the tools needed to maximize the partner experience.
With 30 years of experience under his belt, Poirier was most recently serving as vice president of business development at Desjardins financial security. Before that, he was a senior leader for Mercer, Morceau Shepell and Willis Towers Watson, and had served as an actuary for Retraite Québec.
He obtained a bachelor's degree in actuarial sciences from Université Laval and is a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
