There are a lot top-flight brokers operating in the insurance industry, and many contribute to the success of their company. But what brokerages rank among Canada’s top 10?
Insurance Business is launching its Top 10 Brokerages rankings, asking those in the industry to rank individual insurance brokering businesses based on the criteria of premium income, client retention, policies written and new clients introduced to the business.
“The independent broker is the backbone of the insurance industry, and we at Insurance Business want to recognize and celebrate that,” says Tim Duce, president and CEO of KMI Publishing and Events. “Our Hot List in the March issue shone the spotlight on the individuals who are making waves in insurance – now it is time to give brokerages their due.”
The Top 10 Brokerages will be featured in the May issue of Insurance Business magazine, providing those businesses a valuable marketing tool to enhance their reputation and credibility within the profession and the market, says Duce.
To enter only requires two minutes and some basic metrics about the brokerage. Eligibility requirements include the business having three or more brokers writing business who are licence holders or authorized representatives, and that the brokerage be independently branded and headquartered in Canada.
Only those brokerages that have completely filled out the survey will be included. All information provided should be accurate and verifiable. The specifics of client numbers and written premiums, for example, will not be shared. That information is designed to establish the true top brokerage, and will only be included in general terms when identifying industry trends and total numbers, and averages for all brokerages participating in the survey.
