Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance, a provider of home, auto, commercial, and farm cover in Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan, has rebranded as Sandbox Mutual Insurance.
The rebrand comes as the mutual is set to “refocus” its efforts on improving its digital presence, according to an update from the insurer, which was founded in 1908.
“We learned early on in our rebrand process that the policyholder does not really care about insurance,” said Sandbox President and CEO Shelley Willick.
“Policyholders do not want to have to know the details and the ins and outs of their insurance, they just want to know that we will be there when they need us.”
The mutual has launched a new website under the Sandbox brand and intends to unveil a digital claims portal from mid-December.
“The claims portal is a place for policyholders to view their active claims along with the status of their claim on an ongoing, real-time basis,” Willick said.
“Our goal is to simplify insurance and we are starting with the claims process, ensuring policyholders are being kept well informed on the status of their claim all throughout the process.”
The business is committed to “ensuring there are no dead-ends for customers, whether engaging digitally or offline”, according to Willick.
