Rival Insurance Technology (Rival) has received the eDocs Certification from the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO), confirming the integration of CSIO’s 40 updated eDocs codes and descriptions into its Broker’s Workstation platform.
The certification applies to both personal and commercial insurance lines, ensuring accurate and standardized labelling of electronic documents (eDocs) within the platform’s Broker Management System (BMS).
With this certification, Rival's insurance partners can be confident that their eDocs codes are accurately labelled in the BMS, streamlining brokers' workflows. Once insurers fully implement the updated eDocs codes, brokers using The Broker's Workstation will be able to access clear, well-labelled documents directly, significantly reducing the need to open and review each document to determine necessary actions.
“Achieving eDocs Certification supports Rival’s mission to deliver efficient technology solutions that give brokers a competitive advantage,” said Greg Purdy, CEO of Rival Insurance Technology. “Working alongside CSIO and the industry, we’re focused on driving ongoing success and innovation. These updated eDocs mark an important step forward for brokers, helping them strengthen client relationships through improved efficiency.”
CSIO president and CEO Catherine Smola praised Rival’s achievement, highlighting its commitment to enhancing broker connectivity and reducing administrative burdens in the property and casualty insurance sectors. “Rival’s eDocs Certification demonstrates their dedication to improving eDocs delivery, which ultimately saves brokers time and resources,” Smola stated.
The eDocs Certification is part of CSIO’s broader initiative to standardize document handling and increase efficiency in the insurance sector. More CSIO members are currently pursuing their own eDocs Certification to align with industry standards. CSIO encourages interested members to review the eDocs Business Requirements and Certification Document for further details and to apply.
