In time for International Women’s Day, Insurance Business Canada (IBC) has announced the Elite Women of 2024, a group of female leaders recognized for their significant contributions to the Canadian insurance industry.
The selection, now in its fourth year, is a result of a rigorous nomination process inviting industry professionals nationwide to spotlight female leaders who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and achievements over the past year.
Candidates were nominated by their peers, who provided detailed accounts of the nominees’ accomplishments and their impact on the industry, including professional successes and initiatives that have contributed to their companies and the broader insurance landscape.
The final selection of the 54 Elite Women was made with the assistance of an independent judging panel, comprising respected figures within the industry:

Measures were in place to ensure the integrity of the selection process, including restrictions against self-nominations and voting for relatives, thereby avoiding any conflicts of interest.
