Insurance Business Canada (IBC) has honoured 15 insurance brokerages with the title of Fast Brokerages of 2024, acknowledging their rapid growth within the sector.
The accolade comes amid the ongoing challenges faced by the industry and the broader economy, spotlighting these organisations’ capacity to excel and expand in difficult circumstances.
The awards were based on several core characteristics including the ability to adapt and persevere, entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to serving clients, strategic foresight, and a focus on achieving long-term growth.
In November 2023, IBC called for entries, asking companies to provide financial details for 2022 and 2023, alongside their notable achievements. The process was aimed at identifying brokerages that had not only grown significantly but had also shown remarkable resilience and innovation.
To be considered among the Fast Brokerages of 2024, firms had to demonstrate a revenue increase of at least 20%.
IBC also introduced a Fast Starters category to spotlight up-and-coming brokerages that have been in operation for no more than three years yet have already made significant strides in the industry.
Among the recipients is BrokerUnion Insurance (BrokerUnion), located in Pickering, Ontario.
The firm was recognised for its client-centric approach, underpinned by a team of experienced and licensed professionals. The group works cohesively to offer a wide variety of insurance products, ensuring their clients’ needs are thoroughly addressed.
