Auger Hollingsworth Accident & Injury Lawyers, a law firm specializing in personal injury and long-term disability claims, has announced its expansion across Ontario. In addition to serving Ottawa, the firm will now offer services in Barrie, Brampton, Hamilton, Mississauga, and downtown Toronto.
The expansion is a response to increasing demand for legal support in personal injury cases, including car accident injuries, slip and fall cases, and long-term disability insurance denials, and aligns with Auger Hollingsworth’s ongoing mission to serve Ontario residents through a client-centred approach.
A study revealed that the Northwest Territories have the highest injury rates, with 1,441.3 injury-related hospitalizations and deaths per 100,000 people annually. This is significantly higher than the national average. Nunavut and Saskatchewan follow, with 1,248.4 and 867.4 incidents per 100,000, respectively.
The study, analyzing data from 2013-2022, found that the Northwest Territories saw its highest rate of fatal injuries in 2019. Nunavut, Canada’s largest territory, reported the highest rate of fatal injuries overall and among women. Saskatchewan experienced a concerning rise in fatal injuries in 2021. While Prince Edward Island had the lowest fatality rate, it ranked fifth overall due to a high number of injury-related hospitalizations.
Augur Hollingsworth aims to ease the often-complex processes associated with personal injury and disability claims for clients and ensure they receive dedicated and effective advocacy.
“We are excited to bring our specialized services to more communities across Ontario,” said Richard Auger, partner at Auger Hollingsworth Accident & Injury Lawyers. “Our expansion into Barrie, Brampton, Hamilton, and Mississauga, as well as downtown Toronto allows us to be closer to our clients, offering them the legal representation they need without the added stress of distance.”
