NFP has added another member to its complex risk solutions (CRS) group in Canada, with the appointment of Tony Petrilli as senior vice president of loss control.
In his new role, Petrilli will help further expand the CRS group’s capabilities for the benefit of NFP’s North American clients, a release said. In particular, Petrilli will focus on risk mitigation and risk management within the natural resources sector.
Petrilli most recently served as vice president and senior risk control executive for Willis Towers Watson. He also held various roles at Jardine Lloyd Thompson Canada and Zurich Canada. In addition, Petrilli is a Canadian Armed Forces veteran, having served for 33 years. He has done service overseas, was part of the 41 Canadian Brigade Group G9, and had provided training coordination for CIMIC (civil-military co-operation).
“Tony is an excellent addition to the team,” said NFP Canada CEO John Belyea. “We’re focused on growing the CRS Group by bringing in industry experts like Tony who understand the evolving complexities of various risks. His background in natural resources, power, mining and energy will enhance the existing capabilities of the CRS team and advance our commitment to delivering specialized expertise to clients in this dynamic environment.”
“It’s exciting to join NFP as they continue their incredible growth,” commented Petrilli. “I’m looking forward to contributing focused expertise and insight and being part of an exceptional organization with such a strong commitment to its specialty business.”
NFP’s CRS group provides insurance and risk management solutions to companies in the forestry, mining, oil and gas, power and utilities, renewable energy, and transportation industries. These solutions include management liability, risk engineering, analytics and captives.
Last month, NFP appointed Matthew Hamel as senior vice president - he also joined the company’s CRS group in Canada. Hamel will bolster the broker’s presence in Canada, and will focus on supporting NFP’s energy and natural resources clients.
