Commercial insurance brokerage Navacord has today announced the addition of Hamilton-based The Mitchell & Abbott Group Insurance Brokers Limited to its growing Broker Partner team.
The deal, effective April 01, 2019, marks Navacord’s first expansion into the Southern Ontario / Niagara Peninsula area and strengthens the brokerage’s presence in the broader GTA.

The Mitchell & Abbott Group has been providing commercial and personal lines insurance and employee benefits to clients in the Hamilton area for almost 100 years. The firm also specializes in the design, implementation and administration of affinity and group insurance programs.
As a Navacord Broker Partner, the Mitchell and Abbott Group joins the likes of Petrela, Winter & Associates, Lloyd Sadd Insurance Brokers, Toole Peet Insurance, Paisley Manor Insurance Group and Henderson Insurance Brokers – all of whom are family-founded brokers. The brokerage will continue under the leadership of managing partners, J.P. Mitchell and Taylor Abbott.
