Major Canadian commercial insurance brokerage Navacord has formed a new partnership with the employee benefits co-operative buying group Beneplan.
Founded in 2000, Beneplan is dedicated to serving the “underdogs” of the economy – small and medium businesses in need of healthcare solutions for their staff. Through its collaboration with Navacord, the two will offer a refundable health insurance plan to employers, wherein all unused premiums are returned to clients at the end of the year.
“Navacord is our partner of choice because they actually look like us, understand entrepreneurs, and wholeheartedly believe in our vision—and our fight for the underdog,” said Beneplan CEO Yafa Sakkejha. “Partnering with Navacord will give us the national leverage we need to continue our path as an industry trailblazer.”
“Like us, Beneplan are entrepreneurs who hold the beating heart of the customer close—building and providing something truly unique and innovative to brokers across Canada,” commented Navacord president and CEO Shawn DeSantis.
According to Navacord, this is the brokerage’s sixth partnership in the last three months.
Last month, Navacord acquired Arbutus Financial Services and Surrey Insurance. The former offers group benefits and retirement consulting, as well as individual financial planning, wealth management, and life insurance solutions to clients in the mining, gaming technology, software, and film industries. Meanwhile, the latter provides a suite of auto, life, travel, and home insurance across the BC lower mainland; Surrey Insurance was also folded into Navacord’s broker partner Allwest Insurance Services.
