McDougall Insurance Brokers Ltd (McDougall) has strengthened its presence in Ontario by acquiring All Time Insurance Brokers Inc (All Time).

As part of the deal, the Ajax-based insurance brokerage will join McDougall to form an independent brokerage with more than 70 offices in Ontario and Alberta, around 1,000 employees, and over $1 billion in property and casualty premiums.

McDougall Insurance Brokers acquires All Time Insurance Brokers

The agreement will see All Time employees remain with the organisation, with their branch and office location operating as usual.

McDougall Insurance Brokers CEO Ross McDougall said the acquisition will bolster the brokerage’s position in the Eastern Ontario market and complement several branch offices.

“All Time Insurance Brokers Inc is an excellent fit for McDougall Insurance because it strengthens our position in Eastern Ontario, complimenting several existing nearby branch offices,” he said. “We know that they have an exemplary standard of customer service that we are committed to continuing and further strengthening with the capabilities that a larger team can provide.

“We remain committed to continuing our growth pattern and offering outstanding service and great products for our existing and future customers.”

McDougall subsidiary acquires Edmonton-based insurance brokerage

The deal with All Time follows the announcement of McDougall subsidiary Drayden Insurance Limited’s (Drayden) acquisition of Edmonton-based De Luca Insurance Services Ltd (De Luca).

With the finalisation of the acquisition, Drayden reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the high standards of professionalism and customer service that it said De Luca clients expect.

Drayden president Catherine Cake commented: “De Luca and Drayden are ideal partners. We both put our clients and communities first, and we know that through our combined strengths we will continue to live up to that standard each and every day.”

McDougall said the deal with De Luca strengthens the brokerage’s capabilities in Alberta.

“De Luca is a multi-generational family business much like McDougall Insurance, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome them to the McDougall family. This acquisition continues our growth in Alberta and augments our ability to give our clients the service they deserve,” he said.

The acquisition follows Drayden’s merger with Calgary-based C.J. Campbell Insurance, which it said “represents a significant milestone” for its Alberta presence.
