McDougall Insurance & Financial has merged with the business operations of Provenance Insurance Services.
A release said that the merger is effective immediately. Following the merger, McDougall Insurance & Financial will have 36 offices in Ontario, with more than 400 employees and over $370 million in P&C premium.
Following the merger, all employees of Provenance will remain with the organization. All members of the management team, including current owner and president George Hutchison, will continue in their current roles.
Provenance operates as the following trade names (in specific regions): Knox Hutchison Insurance Services (North Bay), Municipal Insurance Services (North Bay), and Dynamic Insurance Brokers (Sudbury).
“Provenance Insurance is an excellent partner for McDougall Insurance with their strong specialization in commercial insurance, including municipal, non-profit, First Nations, entertainment, mining, and long-haul transportation,” said McDougall Insurance & Financial CEO Ross McDougall in a statement.
McDougall added that the merger greatly enhances McDougall Insurance & Financial’s geographic coverage and adds to the company’s areas of specialization. The CEO added that as an independent broker, his company is committed to continuing its current growth pattern via M&A – on top of offering superior products and services to customers.
