La Capitale Insurance and Financial Group announced last Tuesday that it will serve as co-presenter to the hotly-anticipated stage adaptation of the popular ICI Radio-Canada television series
La Galère sur scène.
The insurer’s participation is a move to promote Quebec’s culture, as well as to provide everyone the opportunity to enjoy the much-loved series once more.
The production is directed by directed by André Robitaille, with contributions from Renée-Claude Brazeau. It will feature the same four actresses who appeared in the original television series.
La Galère sur scène’s first performance is slated for July 14 at the Hector-Charland Theatre in L’Assomption. Afterwards, the show will go on the road, presenting in major cities throughout Quebec with over a hundred performances planned.
“As a mutual whose roots are well anchored in the community, La Capitale enjoys taking part in different projects to contribute, in its own way, to the development of society,” said La Capitale Executive Vice-President of Corporate Affairs Marie-Josée Guérette in an official statement. “Our goal, in entering into this partnership, is to promote Quebec's vibrant cultural life, which is an essential pillar of society.”
