Ironshore has appointed industry expert Kristin McMahon as head of global claims. McMahon replaces Mike Mitrovic, who recently left the company.
In her new role, McMahon will oversee claims management and litigation management services. She will report to Shaun E. Kelly, president of Ironshore.
“We are pleased that Ms. McMahon will assume this important global leadership role,” Kelly said. “She has been a valued member of the Ironshore team since Ironshore’s inception.”
McMahon joined Ironshore in 2008 as the chief claims officer for IronHealth. She has held various leadership roles in the company, including as president of IronHealth’s liability and regulatory lines. Most recently, McMahon served as head of US claims.
Prior to joining Ironshore, McMahon was a partner with the law firm Kerns, Frost & Perlman, where she specialized in representing professional liability insurers and reinsurers in the US, London and Bermuda.
