Intact Financial has revealed that one of its executives, senior vice president and chief strategy officer Monika Federau, has been named a 2019 Top 100 Canada's Most Powerful Women award winner by Women's Executive Network (WXN).
Federau specifically won the HSBC Bank Corporate Executives award, which recognizes her efforts to help women advance in corporate leadership. A release mentioned that she accomplishes this by “breaking down barriers for future generations.”
In addition to her executive responsibilities, Federau is chair of Intact’s executive committee, overseeing 30 company leaders. She works with the executive team to develop the company’s strategic plan.
"Monika exemplifies our organization's values," commented Charles Brindamour, CEO at Intact Financial, where 54% of the current management team are women. "She is truly well-deserving of the award and I know she will continue to be an inspiring role model, mentor and coach to Intact employees."
"This award is especially meaningful for me as it allows me to be a better role model to other women and continue to make a difference,” said Federau. “Intact believes that a diverse and inclusive environment makes our business stronger and this is a place that offers everyone limitless opportunities to succeed."
