Travel insurance comparison platform InsureMyTrip has introduced an all-inclusive policy that aims to protect travellers year-round.

The policy combines the essential benefits of travel insurance into a single plan. It aims to simplify the process of obtaining travel insurance. The key benefits of the coverage include an emergency medical plan, which will cover hospitalization, treatments, medical transport and evacuations for unexpected illnesses or accidents.

The plan will also cover baggage loss and delay and will provide financial protection to replace lost items or cover expenses due to these delays, reducing the impact of these inconveniences.

For trip cancellations and interruptions resulting from unexpected events such as illness, injury, natural disasters or severe weather, the plan can reimburse non-refundable costs, protecting the traveller’s investment.

InsureMyTrip also offers a Cancel for Any Reason benefit in many of its policies, giving travellers more control over their plans.

“With the unpredictability of travel conditions, including delays, health emergencies and other disruptions, all-inclusive policies are a valuable safeguard,” InsureMyTrip said. “Designed to address a wide range of travel challenges, these policies are particularly beneficial for those embarking on domestic and international trips this year.”

Last year, InsureMyTrip introduced the TIPS Post-Departure Plan, an insurance solution that aims to protect Canadian travellers who already have trip cancellation coverage through a credit card or other protection plan.

That product, which covers trip interruptions and emergency medical expenses, was designed to provide added peace of mind for travellers looking to fill gaps in their existing insurance coverage.
