Three Navacord partner firms have joined up to create one of Saskatchewan’s “largest” commercial insurance brokerages, the business announced today.
Henderson Insurance, Hoffman Kool Insurance, and Life Line Brokers are set to come together under the HK Henderson name from November 1, 2023, with five locations in Saskatoon, Regina, and Moose Jaw.
Henderson Insurance (Henderson) is a second-generation commercial brokerage, led by Henderson CEO David Reidy, who has been named HK Henderson president and CEO. The business is nearly 60 years old, with industries served including agriculture, transportation, and manufacturing, with expertise in commercial construction and contract surety bonding.
Henderson was Navacord’s first broker partner in the province, with the deal having been struck up in 2018.
“We are building a distinct brokerage – one that thinks about risk differently and takes a holistic view of our clients, beyond just insurance,” said David Reidy, president and CEO, HK Henderson. “With a dynamic growth culture and expert team of specialists, together we have strengthened our ability to provide unmatched service, the best advice, and tailored solutions for our clients.”
Hoffman Kool has also been in business for more than 50 years and is led by Hoffman Kool CEO Darryn Knibbs. The firm has worked with construction and transportation clients, in addition to other industries, across Saskatoon and North Saskatchewan.
Knibbs will serve as HK Henderson chairman.
“Being part of a larger specialist team provides more opportunity to collaborate, share best practices, and be an even stronger resource for our communities and clients, who now have the convenience of accessing five offices across three cities,” Knibbs said.
The duo is joined by Saskatoon-base Life Line, which has a personal insurance, life insurance, and financial services focus.
The deal news comes hot on the heels of Navacord’s swoop for Vancouver Island-based personal lines specialist Harbord Insurance, which was announced on Monday and marked the former’s twentieth partnership of 2023.
