Insurance Business Canada (IBC) has unveiled the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) award winners for 2023 - those who have caught the industry’s attention through their stellar achievements in fostering more progressive working environments and commitment to their programs.
The IBC team determined the insurance companies with the most effective DE&I programs by inviting firms to share the DE&I initiatives they have implemented over the past 12 months. For 15 weeks, the team conducted one-on-one interviews with professionals to gain a keen understanding of the industry standards for DE&I and identify which companies had met or exceeded those expectations.
After receiving nominations, the IBC team asked the nominated companies’ employees to gauge the effectiveness of the DE&I programs. The companies that scored 4 or higher on a scale of 5 received the 5-star diversity, equity, and inclusion award.
