Insurance organizations in Canada are reshaping workplace culture to align with changing employee expectations.
By prioritising trust, inclusivity, and flexible policies, companies aim to attract and retain talent amid an aging industry workforce, which comprises approximately 1.4 million professionals nationwide. Now, some of the best in the country have been spotlighted.
Insurance Business Canada (IBC) identified leading employers in the industry through a two-step process.
First, companies submitted detailed information about their workplace programs, policies, and initiatives. Following this, employees of nominated organizations completed an anonymous survey assessing their satisfaction across several areas, including benefits, pay, workplace culture, professional development, and diversity efforts.
To qualify for recognition, organizations needed to meet a required number of employee survey responses based on their total staff size.
Companies achieving an average employee satisfaction score of 75% or higher earned a place on the 2024 Top Insurance Employers list.
