Insurance Business Canada (IBC) has revealed Ontario's 5-star insurance brokerages for 2022 – ranked according to 11 criteria.
IBC scoured Ontario to find its top brokerages by seeking nominations, with each brokerage required to provide key details about its business in 2020 and 2021, including revenue, policies written, number of clients, and profit margin. Eligible brokerages must have three or more brokers and an office in Ontario. Afterwards, the nominees were ranked according to 11 criteria:
All the rankings were then added together, with the brokerages that had the lowest overall scores achieving the highest rankings. IBC's ranking system rewards brokerages based on business per broker rather than critical mass to ensure the best brokerages are singled out, regardless of size.
