Insurance Business Canada (IBC) has officially recognised its Rising Stars of 2024, insurance professionals shining in their roles with the confidence to share their ideas and act towards the many needs of the industry today, in particular diversity and inclusion.
The list also celebrates the young professionals who are deemed vital in bringing forth a new age of insurance, at a time when the industry is expecting to see an influx of millennial and Gen Z talent.
IBC opened its nominations for its 2024 Rising Stars awards in May, looking for the industry’s most talented young professionals.
The list was compiled by a five-person judging panel, seeking to identify the cream of the crop from 80 distinguished nominees.
The winners were chosen as figureheads for the future of insurance, adding value for their organizations and the industry despite being early in their respective careers – an industry with over 1.3 million professionals as of May 2024.
Among the notable winners of this prestigious awards are:
“Their combined eagerness and willingness to learn, with respect for experience, while still finding a way to challenge the status quo has been an admirable feat to watch,” said panel member Vinita Jajware-Beatty, president and board chair of the Toronto Insurance Women’s Association.
