Waterloo Regional Police is warning residents of a suspect who has been selling phony insurance slips for several months now.
According to a report by
Waterloo Region Record, this suspect has been approaching customers online and then visiting their homes to sell “insurance” for the past nine months.

The insurance slips claim to be from a brokerage named “Noonan” and/or “Noonan Insurance Brokers”.

Authorities have advised that no such brokerage exists in Canada and that the slips are fraudulent. The police added that anyone who has such slips must report to them immediately.
Waterloo Regional Police’s Fraud Branch investigates insurance fraud cases that deal with amounts over $25,000, among other related crimes.
