The Insurance Institute of Canada (IIC) and the CIP Society have announced the opening of applications for the national Rhind Bursary Program.
The program offers two bursaries to eligible students pursuing an Insurance Institute designation or certificate who do not receive financial support from their employers. Each bursary covers tuition, textbooks, and exam fees for one course.
Applications for the bursaries are being accepted until May 31 at 11:59pm ET.
“It is a pleasure to receive applications and ultimately award the Rhind Bursaries to assist in the development of deserving students of the industry,” said Peter Hohman, president and chief executive officer of IIC. “It’s especially meaningful as it’s a bridge between the Institute’s storied past, present and future.”
The bursary, which will be available to Canadian citizens or permanent residents who meet the criteria, includes the following:

It serves over 41,000 members and 18,000 active students and also oversees the CIP Society, which supports over 18,000 CIP and FCIP graduates through education, professional development, and recognition programs.
