Wynward Insurance Group will continue as a “full partner” sponsor of the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) 's Broker Identity Program (BIP).
The renewed backing will aid IBAC’s national advertising campaign, which is designed to highlight the value insurance brokers offer, including providing clients with choice, expert advice, and strong advocacy.
Moreover, Wynward’s funding will also bolster other key IBAC initiatives. These include advancing the association’s technological leadership, fostering professional growth among brokers, and supporting effective federal advocacy efforts to maintain the separation of banking and insurance.
Ken Bolt, president of Wynward, remarked: “Wynward's commitment to the broker channel is demonstrated by our ever-expanding distribution network across the country.
“Our continued support as a full partner of the Broker Identity Program is a reflection of our belief in the power of brokers to advocate for and advise policyholders, and also a salute to the great work being done by IBAC’s leadership.”
IBAC chief executive Peter Braid (pictured) expressed his appreciation for the partnership, stating: “We are proud to continue our longstanding partnership with Wynward. We greatly appreciate their strong vote of confidence in IBAC’s programs and initiatives, and their recognition of the enduring benefits of the advice and support that brokers provide.”
Other BIP full partners include Intact Insurance Company, Unica Insurance, HSB Canada, Portage Mutual, Red River Mutual, and Definity-owned Economical Insurance.
In late June, Definity senior vice president and chief distribution officer Tom Reikman noted: “Economical is thrilled to continue our longstanding support of the Broker Identity Program. As a company with more than 150 years of experience in the marketplace, we know the importance of strong relationships with our valued broker partners.
“We know how much our customers value the support of brokers to find the coverage they need and to access their expertise throughout their insurance experience.”
