With the COVID-19 pandemic forcing everyone to maintain social distance, iA Financial Group has offered its group benefits clients access to telemedicine services for free until July.
The insurer has partnered with telemedicine service company Dialogue, whose online platform allows users to speak and consult with healthcare professionals anywhere, and on any device.
Dialogue’s platform allows users to live chat with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. It can also help plan members with their prescription renewals, and can facilitate free deliveries of prescription drugs. Video appointments with physicians or a mental healthcare professional can also be arranged through the platform. When medically required, Dialogue can also help refer plan members to a specialist, or provide diagnostics coordination.
A company release said that iA Financial clients whose group health insurance plan includes supplemental health insurance can choose to add Dialogue to their benefits offering and take advantage of a preferred rate. Clients that commit to offering Dialogue for at least 12 months will get to enjoy the service free of charge until July 31, 2020.
“Virtual healthcare services are in line with our commitment to the peace of mind and well-being of our clients,” said iA Financial Group senior vice-president of group insurance and retirement solutions Eric Jobin. “We are pleased to simplify the access to healthcare for hundreds of thousands of Canadians and members of their families, especially in these challenging times.”
“We are proud to partner with iA Financial Group to offer its clients innovative solutions that care about people,” added Dialogue COO Jean-Nicolas Guillemette. “This strategic partnership is a key step toward achieving our ambition of helping Canadians be more healthy.”
Dialogue previously collaborated with another group insurer, Sun Life, to allow the company’s plan members to more easily connect with local healthcare providers.
