Hudson Restoration has announced the expansion of its Orillia branch as it looks to boost its contents cleaning capabilities to better serve insurance industry clients and direct customers.
The boutique firm has been serving the Orillia/Simcoe/Muskoka area with property restoration and construction services since 2018. It introduced soft contents cleaning through its “Decontamination Depot” in 2021.
“As a boutique, family business, we are excited about the brand we have built and what it has come to represent,” said Nick Hudson, president at Hudson Restoration.
“We have a vision of being the go-to firm for luxury and eco-friendly property restoration. We are growing, the industry is evolving, and people are looking to join us. These upgrades enable us to provide full-service contents cleaning and are another step along our ‘restoring responsibly’ journey.”
The expansion project saw Hudson taking over neighboring facility spaces and repurposing a former barber shop into a customer-facing retail space. A second, larger adjacent space was also added to the original office.
Hudson now offers ultrasonic cleaning, Esporta technology, specialty cleaning and deodorization, storage, pack-out services, an Ozone Chamber, upgraded washing machines, drying facilities, and decontamination cleaning options.
“We have been providing property and contents restoration, along with construction, for many years,” said Jeff Latour, branch and project manager at Hudson Orillia.
“But these upgrades enable us to offer more complete and specialized contents cleaning capabilities to insurance clients, and our Simcoe/Muskoka area customers directly. Our recent addition of cleaning and decontamination expert Deb Moscrop, as well as the sustainability upgrades made to our facility and fleet just up the ante.”
Moscrop (pictured) joined Hudson as contents cleaning manager in July, bringing over 20 years of expertise to the team.
Earlier this year, the company had undergone a brand refresh to highlight its eco initiatives and on-going commitment to sustainability.
As part of its sustainability efforts, Hudson has implemented recycling programs and installed LED lighting, rooftop solar panels, and publicly accessible EV Charging stations. It also added a FORD F-150 Lightning Electric Truck to its fleet, transitioning away from fossil fuels.
